World Dachshund Day 2020

Let’s be honest, 2020 has been a pretty rubbish year so far. That said, I feel so extraordinarily lucky to live where I live. In Perth, Western Australia we have been incredibly fortunate, so fortunate in fact that with the easing of restrictions the Long Dogs Community were able to gather to celebrate World Dachshund Day (abiding by appropriate social distancing measures of course). And we had glorious weather to boot.

Our thoughts are with our Melbourne dachshund cousins at the moment, who won’t be getting out and about so freely for a while. And for dachshunds in other places in the world so hard hit by COVID-19.

I hope for a little over 4 minutes you’ll be able to have a smile at these adorable little faces. I suspect all they know about 2020 is they have had more company than usual.
